Visualisation
Sacred Sanctuary
Take a deep breath and connect to your heartbeat. Clear out anything that does not feel good in your heart with a deep exhale, and feel your heart fill with healing love. Ask any spiritual allies you may have for guidance and protection, those known to you and those who are unknown and watching over you silently.
Visualize a path before you, be in a straight path, a winding one, or a labyrinth.
Follow this path, and allow it to take you to the base of the largest tree you have ever seen. Look up and see it's massive branches holding up the sky and disappearing into eternity. Look at the ground, were the roots push into the soil, spreading down beyond the core of the cosmos. Put your hands on the trunk, feel the bark, use your senses, smell it's sap, examine the textures and anything that might be dwelling there. Walk around the tree until you find a passageway inside. It might be a door or an opening of some kind. Open it and enter.
You cross the threshold and find that you are in that deepest part of yourself that is your safest space. Look around this room and see what is there. You may find furnishings and decorations that represent the self-work you have been doing, such as an altar with sacred tools and medicines, a healing pool, a garden of creativity, a hearth fire with nourishing brew cooking, or even a feast table surrounded by your trusted guides and allies. It is your own personal sanctuary, so decorate and furnish it however you see fit.
Install whatever calls to you. Let it change and grow with you, over time, just know that this is your heart home, in the world tree and deep within you, the place in the middle world where you can find connection and meaning, peace, rest, nourishment and the opportunity to explore other realms.
Stay here a moment and feel yourself settle in. Absorb the energy you have imbued the space with, and breathe it back out to amplify it here.
Give thanks to your protectors and guides and to the World Tree itself.
Leave your sanctuary through the door you entered by. Come back to the outer trunk and return up the path you came by.
Remember where you are, wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you are ready, open your eyes.
Welcome back.
