Spiritual Sharing Circles in a Virtual Environment
If you like my blog posts, you might be interested in joining me for online chats about topics like the ones I have covered.
On most Monday nights, I host talking circles about a different topic each week. This happens in a virtual environment called Second Life. If you would like to attend, the event happens at 10pm Eastern (7pm in SL time, west coast).
You can make an account and set yourself up with an avatar here:
https://secondlife.com/
Second Life is free to join (some things cost money, like if you want to purchase clothing and accessories to customize your avatar, but this is not required) and it is free to attend my groups.
The viewer I would recommend using to access the Second Life world is called Firestorm Viewer, and you can find the latest version here:
https://www.firestormviewer.org/downloads/
Firestorm is free software, and has lots of preference options and a steep learning curve if you want to access advanced features, but it is the most user-friendly option in my experience.
Once you are in world, you can find the location of the sharing circle using this SLURL in your viewer:

Hope to see you there with some great questions and experiences to share!
Sessions are presented in voice, with voice and/or text chat by participants.
2020:
Currently, sessions are prorogued. I have asked for others to take the reins, and nobody has. I am in higher collaborative work now, and will be back to chat at intervals, sometimes spontaneously.
UPDATE for FEBRUARY 2021: If you want to join in on a poem-a-day workshops on SL at Milk Wood, a General level sim accessible to all, please join in the fun. Personally, I will be doing song lyrics and recordings, hopefully, via FAWM.org (careful not to type any other FAWM as you might not find family friendly content!) and toward a political platform that honours the consensus of minority coalitions, whether we referendum here in Canada or not. Either way, I'd love to have you collectively take action for youth to take the reins on global earth-honouring medicine, food and wilderness protection... and be successful at it. I will take care of the policy writing if I get that far. PAD at Milk Wood is found here: use the viewer of your choice not an Internet browser. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Milk%20Wood/66/58/22
Then join the fun and opportunity with us at https://www.FAWM.org to complete my challenges to you, spiritually-curious or more friends, artists of any sacred art relevant to collabs in music, and everyone who supports and sustains us in that.
