The difference between a normal Red Tent, and my version of Red Tent is that, although still intertraditional, and run by and for women, I welcome single dads with young female children or female-identified children who are of menstrual age or four axes/berry fast age, becoming men and women, at puberty, with their chaperone, who might be a male father figure, because dads are welcome to be lore keepers too for my idea that men, good fathers, in patriarchal times, are the ones who sometimes keep the private libraries open to women who might otherwise lose their traditions if they go underground or become inaccessible or unacceptable. Some men are protectors and when no mom is in the picture, and no auntie wants to bring her, it's still important to get cultural immersion. I also don't care if you sport an athame. Some women want a safe space that is a leave-your-weapons-at-the-door space. It's not my way.
