Just a quick post today, as I'm trying to catch up on several weeks of sharing circle topics. This was a very cool discussion, and folks really opened up and dug deep. We laughed and cried. I hope these questions are moving for you, too.
Why do we fear?
Is it a lack of faith in the universe, or in ourselves? (meaning we don't believe we can succeed, or don't trust ourselves to perform well?)
Is it lack of skill or ability?
Too much attachment to shoulds?
too much passivity and not enough motivation?
just the simple fact that people disagree and there is always going to be opposition to face?
What is happening when we fear?
is it resistance to unwanted or unhelpful possibilities?
Is it knowledge that pain or suffering will be involved in a situation?
Is it an externalized locus of control (feeling powerless) ?
or simply not having a plan?
How do we face fear?
What are some examples of times you have faced your fears - willing or unwilling?
Fear is not a light, fluffy topic, so let's touch base about what's holding you back or challenging you to move forward, from a place of fear. I will honour your courage in speaking about fear and help you with some tools and thoughts of my own, if I can.
