After watching this particular video, I was inspired to capture the idea in a devotional poem, and if you watch, you will see why.
Hide And Seek
Jan 26, 2018
The teacher says it's a divine sport,
The way you, in all your vibrance, hide,
That if I love the game we play here,
Me on Earth as human, seeking signs,
You as macrocosm, dancing near,
Allowing your magical cloak of
Invisibility to open
As you twirl in your kirtan to me,
Whispering my spirit name in song,
Then I may find enjoyment in our
Tension, taking on some of the pull,
And the push again, so bittersweet.
I am left with lingering flavour,
And as I contemplate this essence,
Savouring and savouring, I taste
My way beyond the senses and past
The limited material self,
Just an organ of self-reflection,
anyway, and notice, that we are
not separated, I just can't see
my eyeball without a mirror to
reflect it back to me, or the words
of a poet to express it's depth.
I am divine, and Source is within,
but so much greater than this instance,
little tendril that I have become,
and not to overwhelm me, as Zeus'
'full artillery' to Semele,
overloaded by the torrential
download of waking-up vibrations,
an alarm in the midst of a dream,
where seeing but a glimpse of you, god,
is never enough to satisfy,
but as fibers of the universe,
folks are spun into destiny's yarn,
and also given the gift and art
of weaving magic, to pluck the web,
we should know that there is a limit,
once we stitch ourselves into the cloth
of the fabric of reality,
and our silver cord gets very short,
and you, creator, hold us closer,
and the information we receive,
fills us to the brim, and overflows,
so that we shimmer, halfway inward,
between the veils until we cross them
to return to holy unity,
knowing that we leave behind our love,
no more relationship when dissolved
into one greater cosmic whole self,
because instead of being human,
and unable to see the spirit,
We become love itself, and no more
fathom a limited glimpse of that.
