What is cleansing? - what are you making room for?
There are cleanses for all different aspects of self
Mental cleanses - Unplugging from the Internet and TV, going outside, mindfulness, listening to your inner dialog and then challenging old thought patterns by getting other opinions on your beliefs, or evidence against your assumptions in life.
Physical cleanses - Fasting, baths, exercise to shed excess weight or detox from alcohol, drugs etc.
Emotional cleanses - Letting go of baggage by actively taking just one gift or lesson from past events, laughter and laughing at oneself and the human condition.
Behavioural cleanses - Dropping addictive patterns, finishing projects you have started to be done with them off your list, and crossing things off your to-do list that you don't think you will ever get around to doing, even if it seemed like a good idea. (you can still do things that aren't on a list, but a lighter list means more focus and intention on priorities) also, if you are cleansing, don't add all these ways of cleansing to the same to-do list, it's a lot to manage!
Relational cleanses - Pruning social media, looking at the ways we interact with family and shedding what no longer serves that relationship, such as routine interactions and words that are just lip service... Re-evaluating barriers that could be boundaries.
Spiritual cleanses - Forgive yourself for things, sunbathe, moonbathe, windbathe, soundbathe, forest bathe, etc. Ground and center yourself, try using crystals and burying them
Internal life cleanses - Looking at your fears and hopes - looking at them realistically and facing them by approaching them
Holistic cleanses - Gift things, clear debts of all kinds, rest for the sake of resting,
External life cleanses - Organizing and de-cluttering your space, doing chores like cleaning windows, etc.
And remember, when you have made room for whatever it is, embrace that thing! If you want to take a break while the load is lighter, fine, but make sure you fill the void with healthy things when you are ready to put more on your plate.
